Raising Rotties

I have a rottweiler that just turned 4 months old on the 9th. When my husband said that we were getting a rotti, I was not happy. They kinda have the same rep as Pitts. Having Smitty has really changed my perspective...I love him so much. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with rotts and could just give me some background. The only "problem" we have with him is that he sometimes picks on my 8yr old. I have 4 boys and he's the youngest. Wonder why that is? When he runs outside Smitty will chase him and the other day he pulled his pants down and scratched him and then chased him halfway down the street. Of course, his brothers thought this was funny, but Hunter didn't. Thanks in advance.
